Embroidery.

I've recently found embroidery and the processes involved to be quite a therapeutic and relaxing way to make art. Not only that, it looks lovely as well. I have been sewing away all day and night and have finally created my first piece which is for sale on my etsy page. This piece is sewn onto white cotton using coloured cotton embroidery threads, a six inch hoop is also included with this piece.

Opportunities For Artists, Designers And The Public At Wysing Arts Centre.

Writing a 1000 word essay about a college trip I went on to the Wysing Arts Centre in Cambridge. Not sure if I'm on the right track or just rambling but its a good job I like writing essays!

Moshtache Records Piece.

This is a piece of digital illustration I created for 'Moshtache Records' as a part of a CD cover. I completed this piece by first by drawing the outline and painting the colours in ink. I then felt that it would work better as an illustrated piece. I digitally coloured this using my wacom bamboo graphics tablet, and the smudge tool on Photoshop.

Etsy.

I have recently updated my Etsy online store and added more A3 prints. All prints are £8.00, printed onto high quality 180gsm white paper. Take a look at www.etsy.com/shop/PaigeMitchellDesign

Mini Zine #1

Here I have created an A6 mini-zine filled with 24 pages of my own original artwork. The artwork inside this zine is styled very traditionally. Put together and made by myself using Photoshop, paper, a printer, staples, and a lot of time and effort.

Promarker Drawings.

Here are a few examples of my promarker drawings. I made these pieces in 2012 after practising for quite some time to get the technique just right. These are some of the better examples from my promarker work.

Alice In Wonderland Themed Tea-Cup Drawing.
Pharaohs Horses Drawing.
Japanese Flower Drawing.
Elephant Drawing.
Traditional Red Rose Drawing.

Specialist Pathway.

These two pieces are part of my specialist pathway for my current college project. My project is based on 'Death and Discarded'. Here are images of skulls I have drawn of photographs I have taken. I have drawn the outline and the detail of these skulls using my Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet, I have left the inside area of the skull white to add a contrast to the fabric patterned background I have added.

Digital Colouring.

A few months ago I bought myself a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet. I practised using this by outlining photographs and capturing the features on the face. I then went on to digitally colour these outlines to match the photographs. I have digitally coloured the below two images using block areas.

Ozzy Osbourne Digital Illustration.

Bob Marley Digital Illustration.

Dot Work.

Here are some scanned and detailed dot work drawings I have done recently. I have drawn these on plain white paper with Staedtler permanent markers. Each of these images has taken a lot of time, precision and effort.

Line Work.

I have recently brought a new sketchbook, recycled and organic, and the paper inside is so nice. I have also been using Staedtler permanent marker pens to draw with.
I have set this sketchbook aside for black line drawings where I shade and show texture using multiple straight lines and dark areas.
Here are some examples of this work.
