A5 Original Paintings.

I have recently sold quite a few of my A6 original paintings from my etsy store, so I thought I'd up my game and make some more detailed A5 originals. These are done on the same quality papers (recycled, cotton rag, 150gsm, acid free), just larger. Here are some examples of the first few. You can order these here.

iPhone 4/4s Cases.

Today I have set up a pre-order for two different phone cases, both of which have drawings by myself on. The drawings I have chosen are the dotwork fox skull, and the digital sheep skull and floral drawing. Each phone case will be £15, and will be posted at the end of Febuary 2014. You can find both of the cases on my easy store here.

A6 Original Ink Paintings.

Recently I have been creating a selection of A6 signed original paintings. Each piece is painted with black acrylic ink onto white, 150gsm, recycled cotton rag paper. I have made 4 out of 20 pieces so far, these are available to buy from my easy store for £8 each.

Black And White Drawings.

Recently I have found out that I rather like making completely contrasting black and white drawings. I have been experimenting with different ideas, where the background is black and any part of the image/detail is in white. To start off with, I found this to be a bit of a challenge, I found that the pens i was using were either too thick, or would bleed through the paper making the drawing a mess, and ruining the white in the drawings. After some experimenting, I have come to start perfecting this technique of drawing. Here are some of the images I have drawn using this technique so far!

Sketch to finished piece.

For the first time, I sketched down a simple little idea yesterday so I didn't forget it, and today I actually made it into something. It's strange because in always jotting down ideas but have never done anything about them. Must like this one in particular. Here is the final outcome, ghost/ghoul crying skull, (white paper, black acrylic paint, black marker pen).

Rope skull

Sitting in watching bad day time TV and doodling is pretty much all I will be doing until September/October until I start university. Here is a drawing of a skull inside a rope heart.

Print.

I've been working with a few different printing techniques recently, lino and drypoint etching. Here are a few images of the final cut pieces I have done this evening, ready to print tomorrow.

Embroidery.

I've recently found embroidery and the processes involved to be quite a therapeutic and relaxing way to make art. Not only that, it looks lovely as well. I have been sewing away all day and night and have finally created my first piece which is for sale on my etsy page. This piece is sewn onto white cotton using coloured cotton embroidery threads, a six inch hoop is also included with this piece.

Mini Zine #1

Here I have created an A6 mini-zine filled with 24 pages of my own original artwork. The artwork inside this zine is styled very traditionally. Put together and made by myself using Photoshop, paper, a printer, staples, and a lot of time and effort.

Specialist Pathway.

These two pieces are part of my specialist pathway for my current college project. My project is based on 'Death and Discarded'. Here are images of skulls I have drawn of photographs I have taken. I have drawn the outline and the detail of these skulls using my Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet, I have left the inside area of the skull white to add a contrast to the fabric patterned background I have added.

Dot Work.

Here are some scanned and detailed dot work drawings I have done recently. I have drawn these on plain white paper with Staedtler permanent markers. Each of these images has taken a lot of time, precision and effort.

Line Work.

I have recently brought a new sketchbook, recycled and organic, and the paper inside is so nice. I have also been using Staedtler permanent marker pens to draw with.
I have set this sketchbook aside for black line drawings where I shade and show texture using multiple straight lines and dark areas.
Here are some examples of this work.
